2. Go to Red Rocks Park. This is an amazing place; one I didn’t realize was so great because I grew up 15 minutes away from it. But it really is a Colorado treasure. Go walk around the park because it is so neat, and if you get the chance to see a concert there, do it!
3. Go to Morrison. This can be combined with a visit to Red Rocks, but Morrison is such a unique little place that you have to visit. Eat at one of the local restaurants and soak in the people passing by.
4. Go to Lookout Mountain. Here you are above the city, and if you go at night, you can look out and see it all. It is so magical.
5. Go to Golden. Golden is a quaint little town that has a lot of culture to it. There are a lot of cool shops and restaurants, and there is the river that flows right through town. If you go in the summer you can tube down the river.
6. Go the Denver Art Museum. If you love art, you will love this museum. It has a variety of art, and the way the building is set up is so cool.
7. Go to Coors Field. If you visit in the summer, you have to take a trip to Coors Field to see a Rockies game. Especially at night. When the sun is setting beneath the mountains and you are seated in the top row of bleachers watching them hit it out of the park it is so majestic. There really is no way to describe it.
8. Go to Little Man Ice Cream. This is a great little ice cream place that become a Denver icon. They serve great ice cream that can’t be beat anywhere.
9. Go to Evergreen. This is a good 40 minute drive from the city, but it is so beautiful. In the winter you can ice skate on the lake and in the summer you can canoe and fish. Not to mention the gorgeous views.
10. Go to Coors Brewery and take a tour. Whether you like beer or not, it is fun to see how they make it! Heck I went with my brother and my dad when I was in elementary school!
